Abbotsford Soccer Associations welcomes Guido Leon

The Abbotsford Soccer Association is pleased to announce that Guido Leon is our new BCSPL Technical Lead. This Technical Lead role is critical to attracting, retaining, and advancing players and coaches within our club’s BCSPL program which includes coach development and administrative coordination to the overall operations for the BCSPL and with ASA administrative aspects. This role is also part of the Executive Operations Team, contributing to ASA’s broader strategic and technical goals.


About Guido

Guido has a strong background in youth development across different environments. He served on the men’s coaching staff at Trinity Western University, working within a U SPORTS national level environment. 

Within ASA he led the ASA Boys 2011 Div. 1 team, laying the foundations for the group’s progression into the BCSPL pathway before moving into his current role as Head Coach of the Boys 2011 BCSPL Team. 

As a player, he played for Chivas Guadalajara’s Youth Academy, US Soccer’s Region IV ODP team and went on to play NCAA Div 1 soccer at Creighton University. 

He holds the Concacaf/Canada Soccer B Diploma and a UEFA C License.
