Program Description
This program relies on Parent involvement, who receive the guidance of one of our Staff Coaches. A Club Coach will be on site to provide leadership for all sessions. Program curriculum and sessions plans will be provided along with other support from our Youth Leadership players. Parent involvement is critical to the program as the ratio of player to coach must be kept to about 6:1 according to Canadian Soccer Association guidelines.

Key aspects of this program include lots of touches on the ball, dribbling, shooting, passing along with mini-games (2v2/3v3/4v4)… and of course, just having fun!

Each session will be divided up into a number of station-based activities, designed to make the game fun while learning new skills that include individual physical literacy development (with & without the ball) along with some paired activities and game play.

Uniform & Equipment
Players will be provided with a club jersey, shorts and a pair of socks. All players must have their own soccer cleats, shin pads and red or black shorts (preferred). A comfortable jacket/outer wear is recommended for cold/wet weather. Each player should also have a water bottle available during sessions.

Coaching Credits
All parent volunteer coaches, helping for the complete program (as noted by our Lead Staff Coach), will receive one registration credit towards the 2024 Winter programming for the same player, in the same program. For players graduating into a new program or for those who choose to transfer to a different program, any differential in the program fees will be payable (including any new kit requirements).  If multiple parent-volunteers are assigned to the same team, the one registration credit will be divided equally.
