The United Soccer League announced details of the 2008 USL Premier Development League season this week.  The Abbotsford Rangers team will now take on the Club's Mariners name for the 2008 Campaign.

Shaun Lowther, Head Coach of the PDL Abbotsford Mariners is looking forward to the 2008 season that begins with a match against new local rivals The Vancouver Whitecaps Residency on May 18th, at Simon Fraser University. 

The Mariners will then play their home season opener at Bateman Park on Friday May 30th at 6:30 PM vs. Brigham Young University (BYU) Cougars.

The Mariners will  play in the Northwest Conference which has become one of the strongest Divisions in the Premier Development League over the past few years.  BYU Cougars, Cascade Surge, Ogden Outlaws, Spokane Spiders, Tacoma Tide, Yakima Reds, and the Vancouver Whitecaps will battle it out  in season play with the Mariners for two play off spots in the Western Conference.
