Abbotsford Mariners PDL (Premier Development League)
The Abbotsford
Mariners Soccer team finished its 5th season in the PDL of the
United Soccer League (USL) this summer. After a disappointing start
they finished strong, and placed third in their division. In 2006 season
the Mariners had claimed the Northwest Division finishing first in
the division .
The Abbotsford
Mariners is the flagship of the local Men’s program.
Many players have
launched their careers with the Canadian National teams, Canadian, and
US Universities and/or with the A-League Vancouver Whitecaps from this
program.
The PDL Mariners
play home games at Bateman Park during the summer months.

The 2007-08 season
is the Mariners’ first in the FVSL’s Premier Division.
The team is made up
of UCFV (University-College of the Fraser Valley) players, graduates of
the ASA youth program, and local members of the Rangers. Last season
they won the First Division and promotion to the Premier Division.

The 2007-08 season
is the Storm’s first in the FVSL’s Second Division.
This team was first
formed for the 2005-06 season and began the movement by ASA to bridge
the gap between U18 youth soccer and the PDL Rangers. The 2006-07 team
was made up of original members, graduates of the ASA youth program, and
a few Valley imports. Last season they won the Third Division and
promotion to the Second Division. Their regular season results were 15
wins, and 1 loss for 45 points: goals for 75 to 11 goals against.

is the Ancient Mariners’ first in the FVSL’s Masters (35+) Division.
The Masters team is
made up of local recreational players and coaches.

Soccer Association Men’s Soccer League)

The 2007-08 season
is the ASAMSL second as a Men’s Recreational League under the umbrella
of the
Abbotsford Soccer Association. All players registered in this league are
eligible to play up on any of the Abbotsford Association’s FVSL teams on
a game-to-game basis.
This league prides
itself on competitive soccer without violence and hooliganism.
